YEAR 6 EXHIBITION

The Year 6 children have been busy for the last 6 weeks on their Exhibition work.  The children will present their work to family members and specially invited guests on Tuesday afternoon/evening from 4.30pm onwards.  School community members are invited to attend the exhibition on Wednesday until 12.30pm as the children will be “at their stations” happy to share with you all the work that they have been doing.

Raising awareness and taking action

A major component of their exhibition is to raise awareness and to take action.  All groups have thought long and hard around the best way to do this and who would benefit most from the funds that are raised.

Upcoming Events

The Year 6 children have been presenting information to the school at recent assemblies to raise awareness.  Some of the events they have been promoting include;

  • Red and Purple day on Thursday, 20 June (Child Soldiers and Educational rights for girls)
  • Bake sale on Thursday, 20 June (Poverty)
  • Rainbow Day on Wednesday, 26 June (Child Disabilities)

Thank you for your support of the Child Labour groups who raised over $11,000 for a range of charities that help children, who are victims of child labour, by providing basics such as food, clothing and shelter.  They also help these children enter school for the first time.
